Turmeric and Golden Milk are well-known for their healthy benefits, so in honor of the new year (and healthy habits) we decided to figure out the best honey to pair with the turmeric and ginger in this drink. Castillo del Sol is the winner with its butter and molasses flavors; it stands up well to strongly-flavored, warm spices, but it still allows them to be center stage. An added benefit: avocado honey is believed to be full of beneficial minerals like magnesium, potassium, and iron, so the entire drink is a complete health boon—but it is also utterly delicious!
¾ cup canned, whole coconut milk
½ cup water
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp ginger
a pinch of black pepper
1 tsp coconut oil
1 Tbsp Castillo del Sol Orchard Honey
Add all ingredients to a milk steamer pitcher. Heat and steam until hot and frothy. Alternatively, add all ingredients to a saucepan and heat on the stove until hot but not boiling; for froth, run through a blender for 10 seconds or until frothy.
